Upcoming Activities

  • June 17, 2024 (2:00 pm): Community meeting at the Diomede City Building. The Project team will present the preferred alternative and the next steps for the project.

Past Activities

  • August 30, 2023: The project team met with the Tri-org Council to further define the non-monetary considerations important to the community.
  • August 29, 2023: The project team hosted a community meeting at Diomede School to identify non-monetary considerations, share information about the developed alternatives, and answer questions about the project.
  • August 28 to 30, 2023: The project team made additional home visits to conduct surveys and answer questions.
  • February 13, 2023: The project team hosted a community meeting at Diomede School to share information and answer questions about the project. Four potential alternatives for improving sanitation were shared at this meeting. Participants were invited to sign up for one-on-one home visits to ask questions and see how the alternatives may function in their homes. 


  • February 14 to 16, 2023: The project team made home visits to conduct surveys and answer questions. 


  • February 16, 2023: The project team met with the community again at the Diomede School to answer additional questions about the project and attended a joint council meeting to discuss and confirm the alternatives to study in the next phase of the project.
